The Hebrew word מָשִׁיחַ mashiyah occurs 39 times in the T'nach, in eleven distinct inflections; of these, 34 occurrences are nouns ("a messiah") and five are adjectives ("smeared with oil"):

1. מָשִׁיחַ - two cases
